When people think of Japanese cuisine, the
first thing that come to their mind is Sushi. Although Sushi being an
emblematic feature of Japanese, it is not the only food that characterise the Japanese
Food culture. There are a lot of varieties of food that are symbolic to
Japanese culture and that are still unknown to different parts of the world, like for example Domburimono, Tempura, and Yakitori. Throughout the blog, you will have a better knowledge
of the different food specialties apart from the one you are used to.
Eating Japanese food is good way to learn
more about Japanese culture. Japanese food already gives us an insight on the
way of living of Japanese, the values they follow. The meal that the Japanese
eat are quite complex as compared to Western one as there is a lot of
preparation and thinking in terms of the dressing , the ingredients chosen. There
are also certain etiquette that need to be respected when eating Japanese food
like the use of chopsticks for instance. There is a certain way of using it
when dining in Japanese Restaurant or in any Japanese family. All these have a
significance for them. One of the reason, they value much seafood and fish for
example is because its fits Buddhist philosophies. Many people will not
necessary think about all these when eating Japanese food and I hope that with
my blog, they will be able to see Japanese food from a new perspectives.
I hope that this blog will be a good way
for fan of Japanese food to learn more about this exotic culture and to
encourage other food lovers to try and taste Japanese food. I was quite reticent
at first to taste Japanese food myself thinking of it as only raw food but
going to Japanese Restaurant and eating its specialties make me change my mind.
I am now a fan of Japanese food. Go for it those who have not yet done so, I am
sure that you will be quite surprise and may become a fan who knows.
